Affiliate commissions are deducted from DigitalWitch's 20% share only. Your 80% is never reduced by affiliate activity.
1. Eligibility
To register as a DigitalWitch Instructor, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have verifiable expertise in your proposed subject area
- Possess the legal right to work and earn income in your country of residence
- Have a valid Nigerian bank account (NUBAN format) for payouts via Paystack
- Agree to these Terms in full before submitting your application
2. Approval Process
Instructor registration is subject to admin approval. DigitalWitch reserves the right to accept or reject any application without providing a reason. The review process typically takes 24–48 hours.
Note: Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. You will be notified by email of the outcome.
3. Revenue Sharing
3.1 Your Earnings
You earn 80% of the net sale price of every course you publish on DigitalWitch. Payments are calculated on the actual amount received from the student after any applicable discount coupons.
3.2 Platform Commission
DigitalWitch retains 20% of each sale. This fee covers: payment processing, platform hosting, marketing, customer support, and fraud prevention.
3.3 Affiliate Commission
When a student purchases your course through an affiliate referral link, the affiliate earns a commission (currently 10%). This commission is paid entirely from DigitalWitch's 20% share. Your 80% instructor payout is not affected in any way.
Example: A student pays ₦50,000 for your course via an affiliate link. You receive ₦40,000 (80%). DigitalWitch receives ₦10,000 (20%), from which ₦5,000 is paid to the affiliate. You always receive ₦40,000 regardless.
4. Payout Schedule
- Earnings are credited to your DigitalWitch wallet in real-time on each successful student payment
- You may request a withdrawal at any time once your wallet balance meets the minimum threshold (₦5,000)
- Withdrawals are processed within 1–3 business days via Paystack bank transfer
- DigitalWitch does not charge withdrawal fees; however, standard bank transfer charges may apply
5. Content Standards
All courses published on DigitalWitch must meet our quality and compliance standards:
- Content must be original and not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
- Video lessons must be clear, audible, and professionally produced
- Courses must not contain misleading claims, hate speech, or adult content
- PDF resources and attachments must be your own work or properly licensed
- Pricing must reflect the value and quality of the content
Violation of content standards may result in course removal, account suspension, or withholding of pending earnings.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all course content you create. By publishing on DigitalWitch, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, market, and distribute your course to students on the platform.
You may remove your course from sale at any time. Students who have already enrolled retain lifetime access to content they have paid for.
7. Instructor Conduct
- Respond to student questions in a timely and professional manner
- Keep course content accurate and updated where applicable
- Do not solicit students to purchase courses or products outside the platform
- Do not manipulate ratings, reviews, or enrollment numbers
- Do not share your account credentials with any third party
8. Taxes
You are solely responsible for declaring and paying all applicable taxes on your instructor earnings in your country or state of residence. DigitalWitch does not deduct tax on your behalf and does not provide tax advice.
9. Account Termination
DigitalWitch may suspend or permanently terminate your instructor account if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines
- Engage in fraud, chargebacks, or payment disputes in bad faith
- Receive sustained low-quality ratings or student complaints
On termination, any pending wallet balance will be paid out within 30 days, subject to verification and no outstanding disputes.
10. Amendments
DigitalWitch reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the instructor portal after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
